Resources

Here you will find a list of my favorite and most trusted resources on a variety of related topics.

Books About Travels:
"In Europe: Travels Through the Twentieth Century," by Geert Mak, Publisher: Vintage (June 10, 2008).
"A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail," by Bill Bryson, Publisher: Anchor (December 26, 2006).
Dead Souls," by Nikolai Gogol, Publisher: CreateSpace (January 26, 2011).

Travel Guides:

  • Go! Girl Guides: a fairly new blog written by women, for women with an emphasis on solo travel
  • Wikitravel: A great starting point for any travel planning
  • Lonely Planet: An endless source of inspiration for travel planning and "mental holidays" via Internet. One of the better "mainstream" options. I especially enjoy following them on Twitter for access to interesting articles about destinations, tips, and personal experiences.
